Digital Pics Project FAILED
before i know it, its already FRIDAY today... another few more days n I"ll be starting my new job. when i think back what hv i dont the past wk.... NOTHING... maybe just ran some errants. Ohh.. at least i managed to go for spa treatment.. which was relaxing!
then i started thinking what have i achieve this year.... hmm... got a few things.. got my CPA and CISA title!! got to work overseas (taiwan was great!), got a new job!!! hahahahahah so i think my achievement for this yr is not bad at all...
but the question now is what would be my goals for next yr? Normally i dont list them down... it'll just get stick to my brain n i'll remind myself abt it from time to time. But now, it seems like I have done most of the things i want to do in terms of my career... maybe its time to concentrade more on self improvement... like maybe eat better, get into shape, loss some weight... that kind of thing... hehehehehe
will hv to think hard....
btw, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Back from Ozzie Land
Had a lot of fun in Melbourne as 2 of my uni mates tag along with us. Highlight of the trip will be the 15 mins helicopter ride in The Great Ocean Rd... it costs a bomb but worth it! It takes us over the 12 Apostles and London Bridge (see map below).
Also recently (sometime in June this yr), one of the apostle collapsed. So we were tryin to figure out which apostle it was.
Am collecting all the pics taken from my friends. Will browse through and select the best of the best to post them here. So be patient.. the pics will be up very soon.
On a separate note, my babe has gone off to HK for a hol with his friends. Miss him so much!! Just a few more days and he will be back... :)

Ozzie Adventure Part 1 - In Sydney!
Was suppose to hit the city first thing this morning.. but since i am not a morning person, I only woke up at 11 (it was raining and damn nice to sleep in). Then we missed the bus, which was suppose to take us to the city by 1.30. Had to walked to the nearest shopping centre, call a cab to take us to the nearest train station and catch a ride to Grand Central. Only arrived in city at around 2pm.
As we wanted to make our Bridge Climb booking and The Rocks Ghost Tour booking, so we head to Circular Quay. Had fish & chips at The Rocks... and then walked from Circular Quay back to city centre (George Street) to meet Chia Ying's uncle and cousin for dinner at Cockle Bay's Wharf for dinner.
Did alot of walking after soooo long.. hehehe now abit tired. Got to hv my beauty sleep now for tmrw's wedding reception!

Heard of 'Gila Monsters' Lizard ???
A little bit abt this creature:
Gila Monsters belong to one of the two venomous lizard species of the world. The other poisonous lizard is the Mexican Beaded lizard. The Gila Monster is unique among other reptiles. It is large, heavy-bodied, possessing a massive head, and small eyes. One of the characteristic signs of the lizard's appearance is its short, swollen tail. The body is a spotted pattern of black, pink, orange, or yellow scales.
Wonder if these lizards are really 'gila'. Hahahahahahahahha!
New Toy!
Manufactured by Tomy, it is a pocket-size MicroPets that "listen" and respond to your voice commands. Kuda will run, walk, zig-zag and turn around. With more than 18 commands and functions, this miniature monster will amaze you. His ears really move up and down and his eyes light up. Requires 2 "button-cell" batteries.
Although it was a gift, it didnt come with the instructions. Thus I am seeking high and low for the instruction on how to activate the so called 18 commands and functions. So far could only get it to run and dance.. will appreciate if anyone out there knows how to 'play' with this monster.
Check out this site for other MicroPets - http://tinkerville.cutthatout.com/micropets/us/
Note: Thanks babe!

Malaysian Culture
There once was a very good old barber in New York. One day a florist goes to him for a haircut. After the cut, he goes to pay the barber and the barber replies: "I am sorry. I cannot accept money from you. I am doing community service."The Florist is happy and leaves the shop. The next morning when the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank you card and a dozen roses waiting at his door.
A policeman goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber after the cut. But the barber replies: "I am sorry. I cannot accept money from you. I am doing community service." The cop is happy and leaves the shop. The next morning the barber goes to open his shop, there is a thank you card and a dozen donuts waiting at his door.
A Malaysian software engineer goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber after the cut. But the barber replies: "I am sorry. I cannot accept money from you. I am doing community service." The Malaysian software engineer is happy and leaves. The next morning when the barber goes to open his shop, guess what he finds there...
Can you guess?
Do you know the answer yet?
Come on, think like a Malaysian....
..... a dozen Malaysians waiting for a free haircut!
Bagan Lalang Beach
Balls of sands made by thousands of tiny crabs. Quite disgusting really, I've been here once in the night, the whole beach was literally swarmed by these tiny creatures, and we're walking with our naked feet on them..
Photographed by Steph. We were driving home from Bagan Lalang, when we made a turn in a junction towards KLIA and was greeted by this lovely view of the sunset. She is amazing isn't she..?'

Holiday ended so fast?
- Go camping and have a bbq at the campsite.
- Play tennis & badminton.
- Do some work?
Let see what I actually did during the week...
- Watched 1 chinese movie (Andy Lau's latest), 1 animation (Corpse's Bride) and 3 dvds (Jap animation, Thai horror flick & Amityville).
- Had a small BBQ.
- Ventured to Bagan Lalang beach to witness the sun sets.
- Cleaned my room (although now the table is in a mess again).
- Do my mandarin lesson homework & revise.
- Sleep, sleep and more sleep.
Hahahaha... what a big difference. From an active plans it turns out to be a lazy week... oh well, at least I can say I rested.... but of course its not enuf.
Anyway, I also found some nice pics which I would like to share with everyone. Here goes....

Terengganu
I woke up 6-ish in the morning on Friday. Took a cab down to Stesen Putra. I read from Transnasional website that its the station that sells the ticket. Took a cab down there for 15 bucks. The cab made a wrong turn, earlier than it is supposed to. I decided to walk. Its about 7.00 am, when I finally reached the station. All the counters are closed, I saw two guards there and I asked them.
It turns out that sure.. Transnasional counter sells the ticket.. but the bus will depart from Jalan Duta! Bloody Transnasional.. so I went out and took another cab to Jalan Duta. It costs me another 7 bucks.
I reached there at around 7.20am. Rushed in and discovered that the counters here are still closed. I waited for another 1/2 hr before Transnasional's counter opens. Bought the earliest ticket to Kuala Terengganu at 9am. When asked how long, the ticket lady says 4.30.
I was thinking at the back my head, "Hey, she probably means 4 1/2 hrs". Not bad. It didn't register to me until later that she really meant 4.30pm as I heard from another friend that there's a new highway there (couple of years back, mind you I have not been to the east for a looOOoong time) and it doesn't take long to get across. The whole journey consists of a single stop.. and its only for toilet! My stomach was growling non stop throughout the journey..I was thinking all sort of nice food to eat, fast food, seafood, authentic food, etc etc when I reach there.
Anyway, fast forward, I didn't see any other Chinese nor Indians there at 4.30pm. No restaurant, no fast food in the only shopping complex, Astaka. It's and incredible place, I feel totally alien.
After series of misadventure, tumbling around the town like an idiot. I finally decided to get a place to stay out of town. Took a cab ride to Marang, after much searching I finally settled in a motel/chalet named Rhu Muda Motel by the beach.
Absolutely beautiful surrounding, with tall coconut trees, and almost white sandy beach overlooking Pulau Kapas. A paradise, if it ain't for the rundown chalet that I'm staying in..
For the period of 2 days and 1 night, I've discovered so many nice people there. They are just so friendly and they would sit and talk with you for hours.
To the Pak Cik at the promenade, the pak cik at Seberang Takir and Abang Desa. Thanks for making my trip there so much more interesting. I will remember to visit Duyong, the boat making village, and the lekor factory the next time.
Here's some pictures that I took.
Boat ride across to Seberang Takir from Kuala Terengganu for 80cents
Sunrise from Rhu Muda Motel, Marang.
Coconut trees, Rhu Muda Motel, Marang. You can see bits of Pulau Kapas in the picture on the left
Fisherman boat with an attached sampan. If you look more close, you can see a huge digging ship, right in the middle. Their making a cove/lagoon in preparation for an international yatch race on November.

Faith, Religion, etc...
When we were young and was still staying in my dad's so called office/hse, my parents used to pray to this indian idol called Sai Baba. Then when my dad's business got better and bought a hse, we moved to the new hse but we didnt bring along Sai Baba with us (much to my grandmother's dissapointment). My parents did not really bring us to temple much besides the annual 'Kow Wong Yea' celebration. Then when each of us had to sit for the 'BIG' goverment exam in school (e.g. UPSR, PMR, SPM, etc) my mum would go to temple to pray for a good luck charm which she will burn into a cup of water n force it down out throat on the first day of exam...
Then one day my mum told us that my elder sis was actually adopted to the 'Kwan Yin'.... n as far as I can remember, I dont think my sis ever went n pray to her before.. which is quite funny. So after she got married in Oct last yr, my mum suddenly remembered that her eldest daughter was pledged to Kwan Yin and she did not asked to take her back before her wedding... which I assume is 'wrong'. My mum was suppose give some offerings and request to 'un-adopt' my sis from Kwan Yin before the wedding.. but due to her short-term memory loss, this was only done few months after the wedding... this is kinda funny..
My family is seriously one funny bunch when it comes to practising the religion... I dont even know whether we have one... !! That's why all my life I always tell people i'm an atheist, although officially we're buddist. I think its good to have faith and believe in something.. but when the belief involves constant execution of certain rituals, it becomes something else.
Something to think abt.. issit really important to have a religion?

Mad abt CSI
Without wasting my time, I asked to borrow the boxset to catchup on any episodes I may hv missed on AXN. I've always been interested in forensic stuff.. although I'm no scientist... so CSI was a refreshing series which I love to watch.
So Ive been watching one episodes to another until I reach the season 5 DVDs... as I was being told that it contains episodes for the whole 5 seasons, I was excited that I didnt miss any episodes... but to my SURPRISE, as i reach the last DVD... I realise its missing the last episodes!! How I know??? I know cos I remember seeing on AXN ad, the season finale has Eric Stokes being kidnapped and trapped in a coffin. Besides that the season finale was directed by Quentin Tarantino! How can this happened??
Frustrated, I went online to confirm... YES, its true, the DVD is missing Season 5 last episodes... so sad...
Note: Thanks Timmy for the tong yuen & pai kuat.

Removing the blogger navbar..
This involves a bit of editing the template codes.. get into your bloggers template coding. Search for the tag "<body>".
You will need to enclose the body tag with a noscript. It should look like this when you're done: "<noscript><body></noscript>".
Save that and republish your site. Thats it. Easy peasy, like ABC, ais kacang, kacang putih, kacang kuda.. any kacangs..

Annie!
Subject : Annie. She's a difficult subject as she's a bit camera shy (and she's cute!). It's hard to get her to face the camera. What I did was to use the speed burst option on the camera and fire away, 5 shots at a go I think.

Learn more abt your country
Essentially a tiny penisular found to the north of their slightly more anal cousins who live on an even smaller island Singapore, Malaysia is a young nation of diverse cultures and races (including the F1). Moving foward with a vision as a collective community towards the vision of becoming a developed nation by the year 2020, 4040, 5050 or whatever catchy number.
It is made up of 13 states namely Selangor, Kedah, Trengganu, Kelantan, Pahang, Penang, Johor (just north of Singapore), Sabah, Sarawak, Perlis, Malacca, Perak and Negeri Sembilan. Malays run around with spears and attempt to subdue the technologically advanced but non-wiping Chinese in a bout for island domination. The prize is beer, which is illegal to muslims anyway. But it's the principle that counts, you know.
Then it goes on talking abt the history, climate, people, culture, sports and education in Msia.
Pucuk Ubi - New Town
So after a few comment to disturb Chin Teong, we never talked/ discussed abt Pucuk Ubi anymore until today when Cheryl found that the owners of the restaurant has left a comment on her post!! Imagine the shock.... :P This is an excerpt taken from the comment:
Read more at Cheryl's Blog.
Not sure if they are the actual owners or not.. i tried to look at their profiles and found that the restaurant actually has a website. Check it out at --> http://restoranpucukubi.tripod.com/

Food Poisoning
LATEST UPDATE
OMG.. just got back from the docs... I've actually lost 2kg....
What a wkend!
Matta fair was this wkend as well. Went to get my air tix... am quite happy that I'm one step closer to taking a break from work. On top of getting my air tix, also signed up for a spa package.. hahahah
Had some great seafood... exercise like mad this morning, watched a good show tonite.. STOMP! The chairs in Istana Budaya was quite bad.. luckily the show was good. But I realise that M'sian crowd is quite bad in interaction. The performers was tryin to engage the spectators INTO the shows, but somehow I think they hv failed miserably tonite. There wasnt enuf of enthusiams from the crowd. At least thats how I feel.
So.. was also clumsy just now.... my feet was wet n I slip n fell on my knee coming out of the bathroom... *tsk*tsk* damn painful now. Its kinda red, I bet later on today it will be BLUE BLACK. We shall see... might take some pics to show... :(
Have been doing alot of thinking too... on how i felt abt work, feeling tired, needing a change.. I realise i've been doing alof of complaining & talking but hardly any action! I need more motivation and ask myself what I really want. Its no used complaining if i'm not gonna do anything abt it. So to everyone out there, will welcome any form of feedback... on the possible change I can make, jobs I can do, esp for those who knows me well.
Maybe a hol in Nov will do me good and will make that feeling go away.

We lost!
But am still very proud of our team cos:
- We BEAT PwC last week in the semis.. hehehe (our arch-rival)
- There's 4 players in the team from RaBS. Specifically ALL of them are from TSRS! (Good work Tuck Wai, Jerry, Chin Teong & Kevin)
If you're wondering what is IAFG, it stands for Inter-Accounting Firms Games. This is like the mini olympic held yearly with participants from the various local accounting firms.
Managed to obtain some pics from last wk's semis against PwC.

Sembunyi Spa, Cyberview Lodge Resort & Spa
Besides that, the whole place is full of these flowers in water pots. Very nice indeed.
I have chosen the 'Forever Yours' Package for couples. The treatments are carried out in the Exclusive Mayang Sari Suite. The treatments includes:
We choosed to have Balinese massage and I opted for a 'Warm & Spicy' Body Treatment instead of the 'Floral Fantacy Body Treatment' as its good for body aches.
We were advised to arrive one hour before the treatment to enjoy the facilities there (i.e. fitness centre, steam & sauna, jacuzzi bath and ice cold plunge pool). So we were there an hr early. After choosing our choice of oil for the massage, we went to the fitness centre for a workout before we enjoyed the jacuzzi bath & ice cold pool.
As we were the only guests for the next 2 hrs, they were kind enough to allow us to enjoy the jacuzzi bath together in the ladies' room. Supposedly the ladies and men's room has its own jacuzzi bath. Next to the jacuzzi bath, there is the ice cold plunge pool. I was advised to be in the warm jacuzzi bath for 10mins then head to the ice cold pool for 3 secs and repeat the process. I dont think anyone can stay longer than 3 secs as its really ICE COLD! Almost forgot, next to the bath is a BIG window (as shown in the pic). U can just sit in the bath and enjoy the view of the lake for as long as u wan. They have also built a small water fall in the jacuzzi, pouring warm water into the bath.We were already feeling so relaxed in the jacuzzi before the treatment. Reluctantly we left the jacuzzi after abt 20mins to prepare for our treatment.
The Mayang Sari suite is on the first floor and it has its private balcony overlooking the lake. Before the start of the treatment, we were given cold ginger tea and a cold mint flavoured face towel to enjoy at the balcony. Then we were lead into the room where the treatment is being performed together. The room has its own little bathtub, a toilet, a little daybed and of course two massage tables. Also the room has full glass door with a landscape view outside.
After abt 2 hrs of massage & body treatment, we were left alone in the room to enjoy the milk bath with flower petals with cold ginger tea and mango pudding. An hr later, we came out relaxed and refreshed with silky smooth skin... heheheheh
Wat an unforgettable experience. Will definitely recommend it to all. They have quite a few promotion packages until Dec. So anyone interested can obtain the brochure from me... :) For those who wanna check out the treatments they have, you can browse through the online catalogue.
Last but not least:
To my dearest David... Hope u enjoyed the spa as much as I have and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! From your girl, Steph
