All alone at home

I'm home!! UK was great.... weather was abit too cold.. but generally ok since I was in the office most of the time. A little bit more about my trip.

Was put up in Grange Holbourn Hotel, less than 5 mins from the Holbourn Station, which is very convenient. My office (Globe House) is by River Thames, just in front of Temple Station. Office and hotel is within walking distance and it takes abt 10 mins to walk. Not too bad since its walking in cold weather. Ohh... west end is also just besides where we stayed...

Like BAT Malaysia, lunch is free in Globe House... and then every nite my manager would take us out to have dinner. He even took us to West End to catch Chicago!! But that nite was quite tiring, esp after whole day session in office.

After my 3 day meeting, my sis (Jasmine) took a train from Liverpool and meet me in London for the weekend. I moved out from Grange Holbourn and move to Berjaya Eden Park since its free. Then I realise something... there were sales everywhere in London.. which is quite bad for my sis and I!! We spent the whole wkend walking ard town shopping and managed to check out Covent Garden Market..

The highlight of the trip would be to finally have the chance to catch Lion King Musical !!! Although it costs a bomb!! some more kena cheated in terms of the sitting allocation... dont trust those stores in Leicester Sq !!! will try to book online next time when i go back ....

I'm all alone at home for the whole week.. whole family went to Ozzie land for hols... my sis & husband is back in my bro-in-law's hometown... not sure what i'm gonna do for the next few days. Just realise prolly not a good idea to announce to the whole world that I'm alone.. but what the heck....

Ohh.. just to update everyone.. Dav is still in LA. Not sure when he's gonna be back...

Happy Chinese New Year to all!!

All ready..

Finally finished my presentation slides for my upcoming meeting in London... sent a copy to my local manager for review and this was his response "Good start to life in BAT - I think we shall make life more interesting for you in Cambodia now..."

I truly dont understand what he means!!! Is that a compliment or a criticism? I had so much difficulties trying to come up with the presentation slides (as some of you know) and this is the first comment I got. Just hope that my UK manager is satisfied with my presentations on Tues...

Ok.. think better head to sleep.. got to catch a flight tmrw morning.. ohh.. btw, wish me luck!

Happy Tree Friends

seriously i think every should at least watch one episode of happy tree friends. encountered the cartoon about one yr ago when david showed it to me... it is really gruesome but damn funny. i would advise against watching it if you hv a weak heart & stomach....

besides the website, you can also subscribe the video via itunes podcast... they had the christmas seasons last month and now they are showing the valentines one...

talkin abt valentine... this yr my valentine will be far far away from me... :(

More pictures

With so many things going on for the past one week, I'm a bit dazed, over all the inputs. There's so SO many things to see here. I loved the weather in the afternoon, nice cool breeze all around. Had loads of food, I think I'm getting sick of burgers already (Arby's is different though)

Changed my mine on posting daily pics. Too much of work. I have them in flickrs now. Have a look when you have the time. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidseow/

I'd really appreciate any inputs on how I could improve the shots more. Note I have edited quite a bit on the colors.

Finally..

I haven't been updating or writing blog at all. Steph's better at writing anyway. She is so good at it and I love to read about what she writes. I'm like everyone else, coming in here every now and then to read her blog eventhough we share this blog.. hehe.

Last year have been really interesting, filled with its ups and downs. It has been really a dream for me to travel around the world. I have only been to south of Thailand and Singapore (when I was 5yrs old) until recently. I guess that's just fate.

So here I am in LA, 3rd day and already missing "nasi lemak". Everything has been incredible so far. Meeting up with amazing clients with amazing professions. What's more amazing about it, was how friendly they are and passionate they are to their work and their family.

J.J. L'Heurux and Hunter. A famous photographer, she takes photos of Penguins in Antarctica! Her husband is a producer that had helped produce stuff for ppl like Stevie Wonder's brother. Plus they built their house from ground up themselves!

Dr. Ava Cadell (http://www.avacadell.com). A sex therapist that had major clients under her belt. People like Gene Simmons (Kiss), and more. Her house at Beverly Hills has a wonderful view of LA cityscape.

Carlana Stone. (http://www.carlanastone.com). A lady with character and charm that will lit up any rooms that she goes into.

Anyway, I'm more of a photo person. I hope these photos will tell more what I experienced for the past 3 days..

View of Los Angeles from the top

The nicest couple that I've ever met. On the left is J.J. L'Heurux and her husband Hunter. She's a brilliant photographer/artist while her husband is a multi talented music artist/producer/writer. J.J. captures amazing penguins pictures in Antarctica while her husband has worked with famous people. Will update her websites url once it is published live.

Flynt Publication building, is the publication that produces Hustler magazines.

Me and my manager in front of Hustler store. We had a wondeful tour with Dr. Ava going through all the sex toys and misc.

This picture was taken within Dr. Ava's office in Beverly Hill. This naughty painting was drawn by Picasso!

Close encounter with super star. Apparently, the mob was busy taking pictures of Nicole Kidman. I didn't managed to capture it.

Gifts from Dr. Ava. A vibrating cock ring and 2 lubes.. how nice of her

New Job

First week in BAT and already I'm taking MC. These are the comments I got:

1. My dad says I'm making a new record in the company!! haaahahaha I cant help it if I got food poisoning.

2. My department head asked me if I was getting bored with the job.. as he said new staff who is bored in their work will take MC...

3. My client whom I am suppose to meet for a meeting says I dont hv to feel so bad until I fell sick just becos he postponed the meeting time.

Oh well, I cant help it if my body is weak.. yes I should be more careful and take care of my diet but I wont miss out on good food.. heehehehe

Got my schedule for the year. Will be going to roughly 7 countries this year and that means being away 23 weeks of the year. Thats alot of time away.. so have to juggle my time properly.

Also will be attending one week induction next week.. the agenda looks very interesting. It encompass field trips to factory and other marketing arm. Am lookin forward to getting to know the company better!

Btw, first overseas posting, will be attending a meeting in London at the end of the month. That means CNY in UK!! hehehehehehe
