Ni hao ma.. ?My colleagues and I have decided to learn how to speak and write in chinese and today was our first class. I have to say, alot of hard work is needed if we want this to be a success!
The first class involves learning how to speak the chinese syllable... we have to pronounce the letters like 'b' 'p' 'm' 'f' in chinese. Sigh... imagine all the laughter and weird looks we gave each other.
The homework for the week is to write 2 pages of the 8 basic chinese strokes n remembering what its called in chinese. There's gonna be a test next class!
